Road construction on US 95 begins on Sept. 20

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - Starting Tuesday, September 20 at 8:00pm, the Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT) is reconstructing the US 95 road.

In a press release, ADOT is advising all Yuma citizens to plan ahead for lane restrictions on US 95.

Furthermore, US 95 will be reduced to one lane on both directions between between Araby Road (milepost 29) and Avenue 9E (milepost 32).

Not only that, the speed limit will be 45 mph.

Finally, a 12-foot width will be in place.

While ADOT expects delays, they advise Yuma drivers to allow extra traveling time.

In addition, drivers should obey posted signs, speed limits and traffic control devices. That and watch out for the construction crew.

The road construction will end on Wednesday, September 21 at 5:00am.
