Brawley campaign heating up
BRAWLEY, Calif. (KYMA, KECY) - The campaign for Brawley City council is heating up.
With two seats ready to be taken up, there are five candidates going head to head.
Luke Hamby, Gilbert Rebollar., Joseph Galvan., Ronald Gray and John Grass are all candidates for city council.
John Grass says he wants to take advantage of the growing population in Brawley.
“With the onset of new developments in the area particularly with lithium, we are already starting to see a growth in our population,” he said.
Ronald Gray III is also running and says it’s time to give back to the residents.
“We need to hone in on the residents, I am a resident first and foremost, not a politician,” he said.
News 11’s Wiley Jawhary will speak to the rest of the candidates on the Evening Edition at 6 p.m.
