U of A hosts golf tournament for local scholarships in Yuma on September 23

The University of Arizona is hosting a golf tournament on Friday, September 23 at 1 p.m. at the Yuma Golf and Country Club

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - The University of Arizona invites you to a golf tournament where the proceeds go to scholarships for local students.

The goal is to raise more than $40,000 to help dozens of local students wanting to attend the university.

"So every year we set up a goal how much we like to raise for the scholarships this year our goal is 40,000. Last year we handed out 24 scholarships with a limited of 50,000 total usually... we are looking 20 to 25 students in Yuma county area," Yuma Cats President Michael Pancrazi says.

The golf tournament is on Friday, September 23 at the Yuma Golf and Country Club at 1 p.m..
