VIDEO: Migrants attempting to come ashore off South Florida
(NBC) -Â Authorities respond after a large group of migrants were found crowded on a boat in waters off South Florida Thursday.
The boat was spotted near Black Point Marina in Homestead.
Aerials show U.S. Coast Guard and Miami-Dade police boats surrounding the vessel, there are dozens of people on board.
Coast guard crew members tossed life preservers to the boaters.
Officials have not yet confirmed where the vessel came from.
