Italian Prime Minister presents his resignation
(KYMA, KECY/CNN) - Italian prime minister Mario Draghi has presented his resignation to the country's president today.
That's according to the presidential palace.
The palace said that President Sergio Mattarella met with Draghi this morning at the Quirinale Palace, where Draghi quote "reiterated his resignation".
Now that it has been accepted by the president, the next step on the agenda will be to summon the parliament and call for a snap election.
