High temperatures will likely remain through the rest of the week, and scattered clouds may also be seen

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - Temperatures will peak today with an Excessive Heat Warning in effect and highs near 115 degrees. Above normal temperatures will prevail through the entire week with highs likely topping 110 degrees for many lower desert locations each day. Other than isolated high terrain showers and thunderstorms, dry conditions are generally expected to persist across the lower deserts today. As moisture seeps back into the region tomorrow into the middle part of the week, thunderstorm chances will increase slightly and expand into the lower elevations.
