VIDEO: Electra wildfire spreading through Jackson, California

JACKSON, Calif. (NBC) - Firefighters are tackling a rapidly-growing wildfire in California.

The Electra fire is burning just southeast of Jackson in Amador County.

It erupted Monday in dry grass near the area.

So far, the blaze has grown to approximately one thousand acres.

At least 100 structures are being threatened and evacuation orders are underway.

According to authorities, at least 100-people who were trapped by fire in a PG&E powerhouse in Amador County have been safely evacuated.
