VIDEO: Child dies in shooting in North Carolina
CHARLOTTE, N.C. (NBC) - A one-year-old child is killed and a seven-year-old sibling injured in a Charlotte shooting this weekend.
Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police are investing a death after two children were shot Saturday night.
Authorities confirm that a seven-year-old and a one-year-old child were shot.
Both kids were taken to the hospital and investigators say the one-year-old has died.
Mayor Vi Lyles said on social media, "A one-year-old child is killed and a seven-year-old sibling injured in a shooting this weekend. I don't have the words... as I know the total devastation being felt by a Charlotte family today."
