Man accused of car theft and other charges makes first court appearance

Carlos Chin has several charges against him, and is set to be back in court next week - 13 On Your Side's Luis Lopez reports

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - A Yuma man went before a judge on Friday, April 15. 

Carlos Chin stands accused of several charges, including trying to run from law enforcement and stealing a car. 

In court, he demanded the car he allegedly stole be kept safe as he claimed it contained something posing a threat to national security.

He is being held tonight on bond and will back in court next week.
