House fire extinguished in Fortuna Foothills

FORTUNA FOOTHILLS, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - Rural Metro Fire says a house caught fire in Fortuna Foothills and was then extinguished on Monday, April 11.

Crews responded to the fire at about 4:30 a.m. around Joleane Avenue and 47th Drive, where a house was seen with smoke coming from within.

The fire was extinguished and didn't spread further than the house but one person was taken to Yuma Regional Medical Center.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
