Pickup truck plows into house with 1 person, dog inside

SOMERTON, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - The Somerton Cocopah Fire Department responded to a crash involving a vehicle and home in Somerton, Ariz.

The crash happened on Yucca Street at around 1:04 a.m.

Upon arrival, firefighters were met with a full-sized pickup truck that drove into the front wall of a home.

Inside of the truck was a driver and passenger—neither of whom needed medical attention.

There was only one person inside of the home when the crash happened and they also did not require any medical attention.

The owner of the home said their dog was in the area of where the truck crashed into.

Firefighters searched through the debris for the dog and found the pet hiding behind curtains.

The dog did not have any injuries.

The Somerton Police Department says the case remains under investigation.
