Imperial Valley residents speak out on Russia-Ukraine War
News 11's Wiley Jawhary talks with Imperial County residents about Russia's invasion of Ukraine
EL CENTRO, Calif. (KYMA, KECY) - Residents and public officials across the Imperial Valley have a lot to say about the war between Russia and Ukraine.
Representative Raul Ruiz (CA-36) spoke to KYMA about the situation. He says he, along with members of his party, spoke to President Zelensky about supporting refugees.
"I sent a letter to President Biden in anticipation of the 2nd wave that we should start to increase the amount of refugees we accept in the United States," he said.
