El Centro Sector agents arrest documented gang member

CALEXICO, Calif. (KYMA, KECY) - The El Centro Sector Border Patrol arrested a gang member in the east area of Calexico.

The arrest happened earlier this week on Tuesday.

At about 6:30 a.m., agents who were allocated to the Calexico station faced a group of six undocumented individuals who illegally entered the U.S. just a mile and a half north of the U.S.-Mexico border.

All six were arrested and taken to the El Centro Sector Processing Center for further medical evaluation and to be processed.

Record checks were conducted and showed one person of the group is a documented street gang member called "Fresno Bulldogs".

According to agents, this person has a vast criminal and immigration history which includes many felony and misdemeanor convictions and several re-entries after deportation.

The person was formerly called to be removed from the U.S.

The group will all be processed accordingly.
