Yuma Sector Border Patrol rescues two migrants from canal
YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - Yuma Sector Border Patrol agents conducted a water rescue at a canal for two migrants who jumped inside.
On Thursday, at about 12:45 p.m., a Yuma Sector agent was notified about a call for help around County 23rd Street in San Luis, Ariz.
Agents say two people, a juvenile and a man, had jumped inside of the rushing current of the canal.
A juvenile was able to climb out safely and an adult male struggled to climb out of the canal and drifted downstream.
The agent attempting the rescue followed the man downstream and extended a shovel so he could hold on and get pulled out of the canal.
