El Centro man found murdered on Main Street

Police say he was stabbed several times

EL CENTRO, Calif. (KYMA, KECY) - El Centro police said one man was murdered after being stabbed multiple times in downtown Saturday night.

ECPD got the call at 11:30 p.m. of a possible stabbing in the 400 Block of Main Street.

Police said when they arrived they found the victim on the south curb line.

They were with him providing medical help until he was taken to El Centro Regional Medical Center. Unfortunately that's where police said he died.

Officers said the victim was a Hispanic man is his early 60's.

Police searched the area and said they found some evidence on 4th and State. They do not have a suspect at this time.

The victim's identify is being withheld at this time.

No word how many times the victim was stabbed.

There is no suspect description available at this time.
