Crash on busy Yuma street ends with one car on its roof

According to the Yuma Police Department the accident happened just after 2 p.m.

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - Crews with the Yuma Fire Department (YFD) and officers with the Yuma Police Department (YPD) arrived on the scene of a car crash that resulted in one vehicle resting upside down.

According to YPD, the accident happened just after two in the afternoon in the area of 4th Avenue and 32nd Street. The crash happened just south of the Big Curve Shopping center.

According to officers on the scene, the small SUV was turning into the shopping center when it was struck by the passenger car causing the truck to flip over.

The driver of the SUV was taken to the hospital and the driver of the passenger car was released on scene. Investigators are looking into which driver was at fault.
