Conservation and preservation efforts grants awards

Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - The Arizona Farm Bureau has recognized a rancher with the Environmental Stewardship Award during their 100th annual meeting.

Daric Knight is a 4th generation rancher who operates White Mountain Herefords, as well as being part of a hunting guide business and a natural resources business.

The Environmental Stewardship Award is granted to those who are making conversation efforts to preserve the environment.

Knight has been in leadership positions, such as with the Apache Natural Resource Conservation, and has attempted to persuade other organizations to invest in his conservation efforts. Several of these organizations include federal, state and county governments.

Focusing on the environment is a big part of Knight's projects, with several involving solar power and maintaining wildlife.
