Yuma Police Department to launch 9PM program

Reminder for ways to prevent criminal activity

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - The Yuma Police Department (YPD) has announced the launch of their 9PM routine, which is a reminder for members of the community to stay vigilant.

This reminder specifies removing valuables from vehicles, locking doors, turning on exterior lights and activating all alarms and security systems at around 9 p.m.

YPD also states that this is not a curfew, only a statement for civilians to be safe at night from thieves and other criminals.

More safety tips and reminders will be available on YPD's social media.
