Cyber Monday consumers predicted to spend $11.3 billion in sales

Retailers hoping for more revenue for the holiday season

U.S. (KYMA, KECY/CBS) - After the less than expected sales made on Black Friday in 2021, analysts are predicting Cyber Monday sales to generate at least $11.3 billion.

This Black Friday was the first time online shoppers spent less than in the previous year, though retailers say that consumers should be buying as early as possible in the holiday season to avoid any supply chain issues.

A goods, supplies and chip shortage has been affecting both consumers and retailers recently, as prices continue to inflate even into the holidays.

Appliances and electronics have been going out of stock, though mostly due to the shortage.

Toys and books are currently top-selling products as consumers buy online for the popular new items, with video games following right behind them.
