New report shows surprising numbers

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - A report from Construction Coverage took a look at American residents who don't have running water, and found 245 Yuma households that lack plumbing facilities.

The report also revealed how nearly 500,000 households are also missing plumbing facilities such as temperature water, a shower and a flush toilet.

About 3.3 out of every 1,000 Yuma households don't have these basic needs, while more than 360,000 households lack running water entirely.

Access to any plumbing and facilities varies by race and ethnicity, though rural areas are known to not have as much running water as urban cities, although the price to keep these facilities can get expensive.
