San Luis invites community for Downtown Redevelopment Plan meeting

Meeting to focus on efforts to develop and grow downtown area

SAN LUIS, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY)- The City of San Luis will be having a downtown redevelopment plan meeting, and openly invites those who wish to join a chance to offer their own input.

The meeting is planned for Tuesday, Sept. 28 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Cesar Chavez Cultural Center, which is located at 1015 N. Main Street, San Luis, AZ, 85336.

A focus will be made on how public resources can be used to develop and grow the downtown area.

San Luis' project goals are:

  • Accomplish Mayor and City Council Strategic Plan
  • Enhance and Revitalize Downtown
  • Increase Property Values
  • Attract new infill development
  • Encourage reinvestment
  • Improve the quality of life for residents and visitors.

San Luis Mayor Gerardo Sanchez stated, "I encourage every one of our residents, community members, and business owners to attend the Downtown Redevelopment Plan Meeting and share their input."

“Your input will help develop a plan that identifies and addresses the needs of our community,” he said.
