12 sworn-in as YCSO’s newest detention officers

Congratulations to the newest detention officers with YCSO

YUMA COUNTY, Ariz. (KYMA) - The Yuma County Sheriff's Office welcomed 12 new detention officers Thursday during a graduation ceremony for academy class 100, at the Dr. Martin Luther King Center.

Yuma County Judge Gregory Stewart swore in each of the 12 detention officers after completing a seven-week training course.

All 12 that started the academy made it to the very end completing more than 280 hours of training.

Yuma County Sheriff Leon Wilmot welcomed the new officers with loved ones in attendance.

On behalf of KYMA congratulations to YCSO's Detention Academy Class 100.

YCSO says class 101 is already underway.
