Colonial Pipeline CEO to testify before congress

(KYMA, KECY/ CNN) - The Colonial Pipeline CEO, Joseph Blount, is scheduled to testify before the House Homeland Security Committee on June 9th surrounding the ransomware attack.

Blount is scheduled to talk about the unsophisticated ransomware attack that shutdown the pipeline for six days which caused gas shortages, hoarding and price spikes.

Just days ago, Blount admitted that he authorized a $4.4 million ransom payment in response to this month's cyberattack.

Blount discussed the payment with The Wall Street Journal but made it public this week
