Arizona Governor Ducey signs controversial election reform bill

(KYMA, KECY/ CNN) - Arizona Governor, Doug Ducey, signed a bill to make it easier to purge tens of thousands of people from the state's mail-in voting list.

The new law centers around the early voting system.

Arizona voters who do not cast early mail-in ballots in two election cycles over four statewide elections will be removed from the state's permanent early voting list.

Despite this, voters who are kicked off the list will still be allowed to re-apply.

One state senator believes the initiative simply removes non-voters, but critics say the bill amounts to voter suppression. Making it more difficult for occasional voters, voters of color, and independents to participate.
