YPG shows gratitude for military spouses
Yuma Proving Ground holds a special ceremony for spouses of service members
YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - Whether their vows were spoken before or after their partner enlists the mission is still the same. When one spouse pledges to defend their country, their spouse commits to the same pledge.
While the dangers of fighting on foreign soil differ from the struggles of maintaining a home, for someone new to the lifestyle the pressure may be the same.
Once a service member is deployed their partner will be left to fend for themselves and their family. Military spouses have to learn how to navigate both parental roles and maintain the home.
Thankfully, bases like the Yuma Proving Ground provide support to military spouses and their children. Thursday, YPG held a special ceremony to show appreciation for those who hold down the fort when their warriors are defending our country.
The Breakfast at Tiffany-themed ceremony brought service members and their spouses together. Post Commander Patrick McFall thanked all the spouses for their continued commitment and support.
