Obesity greatly increases the risk of hospitalizations due to COVID-19

(KYMA, KECY/CBS) - Obesity highly increases the risk of hospitalizations and deaths from COVID-19. Patients 40 years of age and younger had a 9% increased risk of severe COVID.

A new study shows the emotional toll COVID lockdowns had on children. Mental health issues had a greater impact on Black and Latino children.

A survey of Chicago public school students found a quarter of them were stressed, anxious, or agitated when remote learning began.
