Yuma says goodbye to Olga

Yuma resident Claudia Olga Flores passes away after a 6-year cancer battle

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - Early this year we brought you the story of a wish, a wish made by a special woman. Claudia Olga Flores had been fighting for her life for the past 6-years when she was taken off chemotherapy.

Her son Pedro "Petey" Soto asked his mother if there was anything she wanted and she asked to see cars. Olga loved cars and at one point even owned a classic Mustang.

On January 9, 2021, members of the community gathered to parade in front of Olga's home in the Villa Hermosa subdivision. To her delight many Mustang owners came out to show their support.

Over the weekend, Olga lost her battle against cancer. Services are planned for Tuesday April 27, 2021, at 10 a.m. at Yuma Mortuary (775 W. 5th Avenue).

If you knew Olga you can send flowers, plant a tree in her honor or leave a message on her Tribute Wall.
