2020 election materials moved for subpoena

(KYMA, KECY/CNN) - Officials in Arizona gave the media a look on Wednesday at the transfer of 2020 election materials, including ballots and tabulation equipment, for a Republican-led audit of the election.

These materials were were transported in response to an Arizona Senate subpoena, as Republicans continue to search for wrongdoings in the November election that saw Joe Biden take office.

Arizona was one of the battleground states at the center of attention as votes were being tallied last November. The Republican-led audit is focusing on Maricopa County--the most populous county in Arizona.

Those leading and funding this audit still reject President Biden's victory and claim voter fraud to run Donald Trump out of office. Yet, dozens and dozens of lawsuits, including some in Arizona, have revealed no significant wrongdoing in the election.

Also, The Maricopa County Elections Department already paid for two independent audits that found no wrongdoing.

Officials with the department say they have taken precautions to ensure the safety, security and integrity of the subpoenaed election materials.
