SPVUSD Trustees approve decision on full time distance learning
WINTERHAVEN, Calif. (KYMA, KECY)-The San Pasqual Valley Unified School District Board of Trustees approve an instructional plan for its students.
Last week, California Gov. Gavin Newsom announced that schools can physically open if they are in a county that has been off the monitoring list for 14 consecutive days. However, the board voted to begin its school year in a full distance learning model and postponing fall sports, says Rauna Fox, the San Pasqual Valley Superintendent in a Facebook post.
All three models are explained in the plans. As the health situation improves, and we are allowed to by the Imperial County Public Health Department, we will transition from Full Distance Learning to the Hybrid Model. We have no idea when that will be, but parents will be made aware at least 2-3 weeks ahead of time and there will be Distance Learning options provided for parents at that time.
