Sonora under ‘orange light’ despite rising cases, deaths
HERMOSILLO, Sonora (KYMA, KECY)-A partial reopening of businesses in Sonora has some people worried.
On Monday, the Secretary of Health in Sonora says it went from red traffic light to orange, meaning some economic activities return. In a video conference on Monday, the Governor of Sonora Claudia Pavlovich reminds the community not to let their guard down as the economy reactivates in the state,
Pavlovich says each municipality will actively participate in the economic reactivation, to which the Mayor of San Luis Río Colorado, Santos González Yescas, will meet with the municipal health committee on Wednesday to make decisions that help the reopening of the economy.
"Does not mean that we are not at maximum risk, we are still at high risk in orange, so we have to do everything on our part so as not to return to what we have been experiencing in recent months," says Pavlovich.
On Sunday, the Secretary of Public Health in Sonora, Enrique Clausen Iberri says, "It is not the time to advance to an orange light" adding that the health system is saturated "we are with hospitals completely full, there are hospitals that they don't have a single bed to attend to more patients. ”
269 new cases were added to the state along with 28 deaths. Since March 16, San Luis Rio Colorado stands with 1,100 cases.
