ECRMC latest coronavirus update

EL CENTRO, Calif. (KYMA, KECY)-The El Centro Regional Medical Center gives an update Thursday on where they stand during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Dr. Adolphe Edward says he continues to see a rise in numbers again. They have a total of 100 patients, 52 of those are COVID patients, 12 patients in the ICU, 2 patients in ICU non COVID patients.

Dr. Edward continues to see a lot of people not practicing social distancing nor wearing a mask.

The U.S. Air Force Reserve is currently helping ECRMC with four doctors and six nurses.

ECRMC says to be careful during Father's Day weekend. To keep avoiding large gatherings.

ECRMC is having a blood drive Monday, June 15 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. as well as Tuesday, June 16 from 10 a.m. to 3p.m. For your safety, appointments are recommended. As security we will perform screenings and continue to practice safe distancing in our waiting area.
