HERMOSILLO, Sonora (KYMA, KECY)-New COVID-19 cases and deaths in Sonora.

Health officials confirm 156 new cases (81 women and 75 men). The new cases were reported in the following cities; Cajeme 73, Hermosillo 32, Nogales 25, Agua Prieta 11, Guaymas 6, Navojoa 3, Empalme 2, Bacum 1, Cumpas 1, San Ignacio Rio Muerto 1, Fronteras 1.

13 new deaths were also confirmed in Sonora in the following cities; Cajeme 4, Nogales 3, Agua Prieta 1, Hermosillo 1, Fronteras 1, Navojoa 1, Cananea 1, Magdalena 1.

Sonora now has 3,650 cases.

Health officials say 6,950 patients have been tested, 3,300 patients tested negative, 379 patients have been discharged, 2,610 patients have mild symptoms, 370 patients remain hospitalized, 88 patients are in stable condition, 228 patients are in serious condition, 54 patients are on ventilators.

Hermosillo continues to lead the highest cases, followed by Cajeme and Nogales. San Luis Rio Colorado stands as the fourth city with the most cases.

San Luis Rio Colorado has the highest death toll leading with 74, total deaths in Sonora 291.
