Conserving energy can lower electric bill

IMPERIAL COUNTY, (KYMA, KECY)-As temperatures start to increase during the summer months, so do electricity bills.

The Imperial Irrigation District (IID) advises consumers to conserve energy in order to save money.

"Well you'd be surprised, you will see a difference in your bill," says Bob Schettler, Imperial Irrigation District.

Schettler says there are simple things you can do to conserve energy that will have an impact on lowering your electric bill.

He says making sure lights are off when not in use, as well as disconnecting power plugs can make a difference.
