Men arrested on terrorism charges ahead of Las Vegas Floyd protest

Prosecutors say suspects belong to white extremist group

LAS VEGAS, Nev. (KYMA, KECY) - Three Nevada men with connections to a far-right extremist group now face terrorism charges.

Las Vegas Metro Police arrested Stephen T. Parshall, Andrew Lynam, and William L. Loomis Saturday. Police say the men were on their way to a protest armed with Molotov cocktails and gas cans.

Prosecutors say the men conspired to disrupt protests to reopen businesses closed by coronavirus. They says the men may have also planned to incite riots.

They say all of the men self-identify as part of the "Boogaloo" movement. They say "Boogaloo" is a "term used by extremists to signify a coming civil war and/or the collapse of society."

Prosecutors have charged all three suspects with conspiracy to commit terrorism, and with having the materials needed to commit an act of terrorism. They also face multple counts of explosives violations.
