Imperial County coronavirus cases climb by more than 400
More than 13,000 people now tested countywide
EL CENTRO, Calif. (KYMA, KECY) - Imperial County saw it's largest single-day spike in coronavirus cases Thursday with health officials confirming 468 new cases. That brings the countywide total to 2,493.
The Imperial County Public Health Department (ICPHD) also confirms one more death from the illness. Officials are not releasing any details on the latest casualty, or on the newest confirmed patients.
The county has now tested more than 13,000 Valley residents for the virus.
On a positive note, more than 1,200 Valley residents have now recovered from coronavirus.
