‘I Can’t Breathe’ protest in El Centro

EL CENTRO, Calif. (KYMA, KECY)-Imperial Valley Social Justice Committee invites you to join them in a peaceful, socially distant call for justice on the courthouse steps in support of Breonna Taylor, Ahmaud Arbery, and George Floyd.

The protest will be Monday, June 1, at 6 p.m. at the County Courthouse in El Centro, located at 939 Main Street.

Today's protest will support:

Breonna Taylor A young unarmed 26-year-old African American woman fatally shot in her apartment by police in Louisville Kentucky while serving a ‘no-knock warrant’.

Ahmaud Arbery, A young unarmed 25-year-old black man out jogging on a sunny Sunday afternoon, was chased and killed by white residents in a South Georgia neighborhood.

 George Floyd  A 46-year-old unarmed black man killed by police in  Minneapolis Minnesota.
