San Luis Río Colorado reaches 50 deaths
Most deaths in state of Sonora
HERMOSILLO, Sonora (KYMA, KECY) - The Secretary of Health of Sonora announced two additional deaths in San Luis Rio Colorado (SLRC) Friday, bringing the city's death-toll to 50.
SLRC has led Sonora in deaths since the state began tracking the virus. As of now, the city currently has 29 more deaths than the state capital of Hermosillo.
The city of Cajeme follows SLRC with 33 total deaths.
In total, Sonora has suffered 173 deaths due to the virus and 2,154 total cases. Hermosillo leads the state in terms of cases, with 683. SLRC has 394.
Enrique Clausen Iberri, Sonora's Secretary of Health, announced 221 of these cases are currently hospitalized and 119 are in critical condition statewide.
Iberri says 19 cases statewide pertain to pregnant woman. Three of these cases reside in SLRC.
