Former drug addict faces global pandemic

YUMA, Ariz. ( KYMA, KECY) - As the global pandemic continues to impact thousands of daily lives the global epidemic also continues on the rise.

One former addict said in the wake of the coronavirus it has made it more difficult to stay afloat.

With churches being shutdown and more restrictions in place, Gabe Allran, a former drug addict continues to push to help others fight this battle during the pandemic.

“Part of being in recovery is staying connected and letting people know truly where we’re at," said Allran.

And with thousands losing jobs and companies not hiring people due to COVID-19 makes people feel uncertain of whats to come in the future.

He tells News 11 that one already feels alone in the process of recovery, but with COVID-19, there's more pressure.
