Cases climb by 29 with no additional deaths

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - The Yuma County Health District confirmed 29 new cases of coronavirus Wednesday afternoon. That brings the countywide total to 488.

Health officials released no personal details on the new patients. We do know 13 are women, and 16 are men. The age group between 20 and 44 saw the largest increase once again. It grew by 13 cases.

More than 5,500 Yuma County residents have now been screened for coronavirus.

Arizona currently has 14,566 cases of coronavirus. The illness is blamed for 704 deaths across the state, including 7 in Yuma County.
