Family searches for Dateland crash heroes
Wife wants to thank good samaritans who pulled her husband from a burning car
YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - Andrew Swick's family is desperately trying to find the people who saved his life.
Swick was involved in a deadly car crash in Dateland, Sunday morning. He's a firefighter at Yuma Proving Ground and was on his way to work from the Prescott Valley, when a wrong-way driver slammed into his car.

Andrew, and his wife Stefany, have two young daughters. Stefany says she's blessed to have her husband alive. Now she wants to find the people who "gave her husband a fighting chance."
Stefany tells us she was told two men pulled Andrew out of the burning car. She also says a woman named Jordan, believed to be from San Diego, stayed by her husband's side until help arrived.
Andrew's currently under a medically-induced coma at a Goodyear hospital. He suffered serious injuries in the crash. Coronavirus prevents Stefany from spending time with him, and she has only been able to be by his side for no more than three-minutes. She says she needs to hold his hand and let him know she's there.
Stefany says Andrew is the kind of person who goes out of his way to help someone in need. She says that's why it's so important for her to find the people who helped him.
She described a time when her husband helped a woman work through a panic attack in a grocery store. Stefany said Andrew got her calmed down, then helped her load her car with her shopping bags.
Incidents like that make her eager for Andrew to wake up and be the same loving husband, father, son, and friend he always was. Stefany says her love for her husband is the motivation behind her search for the people who saved him.
If you'd like to help contribute to Andrew's medical expenses, you can donate to his GoFundMe.
