YUMA, Ariz. ( KYMA, KECY) - 24-year-old Alonso Rojas was born and raised in Yuma, Arizona. He lives to entertain people through his passion of DJing, but with Covid-19 spreading through his community he's had to put it on hold.

“I was very interested and knowing that maybe if I get people to join in on my Livestream, get people to donate we can all contribute to the community," said Alonso Rojas, DJ RED.

Rojas went from DJing during the nightlife in Yuma on the weekends, to now performing in his room. A couple of weeks ago he decided he would put his passion for the better good of his community and raise funds for the Yuma Regional Medical Center.

He tells News 11 that he misses making people smile and dance the night away, and knows that music is an escape outlet for most people during the quarantine.

Rojas said his message to the community; were all in this together as Covid-19 has hit close to home for home. “This breaks my heart to see people struggling especially those who I know," said Rojas.

His goal is to livestream for 24-hours with continuous songs finding news ways to bring people together through the sounds of music.

“Even when this is over, let’s continue to be safe, and let’s continue to be healthy," said Rojas.
