136 new cases reported in Baja California

MEXICALI, Baja California (KYMA, KECY) - Baja California Health officials announced the latest coronavirus statistics Saturday.

In one of the state's daily coronavirus briefings, health officials announced 136 new cases, bringing the total to 3,138.

Tijuana leads the state in confirmed cases, with 1,521 cases and 349 deaths. Mexicali follows behind with 1,282 confirmed cases and 123 deaths.

519 people have died in Baja California since the state began monitoring COVID-19 cases.

Health officials note the age group with the highest number of deaths are those aged 45-49, with 78 deaths.
