More than 40 new cases of coronavirus in Imperial County

Health officials also confirm two more deaths

EL CENTRO, Calif. (KYMA, KECY) - Imperal County health officials confirmed 44 more cases of coronavirus in the Valley Tuesday evening.

The Imperial County Public Health Department also said two more people have passed away from the illness. Officials aren't releasing any details on the newest patients or the newest casualties.

On a positive note, more than 300 Valley residents have now recovered from the illness. Health officials are also making significant progress with testing. They've now tested nearly 4,600 people.
