No one hurt in morning blaze

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - A fire broke out in a vacant house in the area of 5th Avenue and 24th Street just before nine Thursday morning.

Firefighters arrived in the area to find heavy smoke and flames coming through the roof. The Yuma Fire Department says it took them 30 minutes to put out the fire.

Firefighters say the roof of the vacant home partially collapsed.

No injuries were reported.

Neighbors tell 13 On Your Side's Cody Lee, the flames didn't surprise them.

They tell Lee they've seen homeless people burning mattresses in and around the vacant property.

The fire did not spread to nearby homes. Firefighters continue to investigate the cause of the fire.
