Imperial County boosting efforts to increase testing

EL CENTRO, Calif. (KYMA, KECY) - The Imperial County Public Health Department is in talks to increase coronavirus (COVID-19) testing within the county.

This, in a combined effort with the State of California.

County officials say they are in the process of finalizing the new local testing locations, taking into account logistics and public safety.

They say additional information regarding these new sites will be available in the next few days.

The County says increasing testing capacity is an important factor in its response to the coronavirus pandemic, saying local officials are working to make the additional testing sites available as soon as possible.
