8 more confirmed cases of coronavirus in Yuma County

Nearly a dozen now hospitalized

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - Yuma County District Health Services (YCDHS) says it has confirmed eight more cases of coronavirus. That brings the total number of cases up to 53.

Health officials aren't releasing any personal information on the newest patients. However, the latest numbers indicate five are women, and three are men. Three are between the ages of 18 and 49. Four are between 40 and 59. One is old than 60-years-old.

YCDHS says there are currently 11 people hospitalized with the virus.

Arizona currently has 6,405 cases of coronavirus. The illness has killed 266 people across the state, including one person in Yuma County.
