YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY)-A 20-year-old from Yuma is arrested after agents found $113,000 worth of methamphetamine in his vehicle.

U.S. Customs and Border Protection say the 20-year-old driver was sent to secondary inspection at the Interstate 8 Immigration Checkpoint on Tuesday after a canine alerted to his Toyota Camry.

As Wellton Station agents searched the vehicle they discovered 50 vacuum-sealed packages containing meth in the gas tank, backseat, rear door panels and the air filter compartment of the vehicle.

The combined weight of the 50 packages was more than 56 pounds.

The 20-year-old was arrested on drug smuggling charges.
