Coronavirus kills 13 residents of Phoenix-area assisted living facility
Dozens more test positive at Chandler facility
CHANDLER, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - More than a dozen residents of an assisted living facility in Chandler have died from coronavirus. Another 28 have tested positive.
Compass Living confirms 13 residents have died at Pennington Gardens. A company spokeswoman says nine employees have also tested positive for the illness. Five have recovered.
Facility managers are working with health officials and doctors to test the remaining residents and staff members. Most residents have already received their test results.
