MEXICALI, B.C. (KYMA, KECY)- A group of young volunteers disinfects the public places of Mexicali in order to help eliminate the coronavirus.

Every night, volunteers clean the bus station, gas stations, and the clinic 30 of the Mexican Institute of Social Security (IMSS). Most of these locations are marked as red areas, which symbolizes the coronavirus could be hiding anywhere in the area.

The young volunteers have been cleaning everyday for the past week to ensure everything is disinfected.

On some occasions, volunteers continue to sanitize the interiors of the buildings where they're allowed to enter with the equipment to spray.

Resources for the volunteers are limited as they continue to use their own supplies.

Volunteers seek the assistance of the community for donations of materials they require on a daily basis such as chlorine and personal protective equipment to kill the virus.

These young volunteers say they will not stop until the virus is no longer a danger to residents in Mexicali.
