Yuma High celebrates State championship

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - The celebration continues for the Yuma High Criminals after bringing home a State Wrestling title.

Yuma High wrestlers marched down 6th Avenue to celebrate their victory.

They were then welcomed at pep assembly with congratulatory chants.

“Not only did we steal the state title but in the final round we actually extended our lead," explained Coach Jeff Welsing, Yuma High Wrestling.

As we reported earlier this week now the team is working to gather $7 thousand so all 22 wrestlers can walk away with bragging rights, their championship rings.
